On May 31, according to the official information of the Department of Taxation of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued the "Announcement on the Reduction of the Purchase Tax on Some Passenger Vehicles" (hereinafter referred to as the "Announcement").
The announcement said that the vehicle purchase tax will be halved for 2.0-liter and below displacement passenger cars with a purchase date of June 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 and the price of a bicycle (excluding VAT) does not exceed 300,000 yuan.

According to foreign media reports, on June 3, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that the agency received 758 reports of unexpected braking related to Tesla’s driver assistance system Autopilot, and has asked Tesla to respond to related issues by June 20.

Weimar hits Hong Kong IPO
On June 1, a new batch of IPO applications disclosed by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange revealed that Weimar Automobile has officially submitted an IPO application for Hong Kong stocks, with Haitong International, China Merchants Bank International and Bank of China International as its sponsors.
According to the prospectus, a total of 44,200 electric vehicles were delivered in 2021, achieving a year-on-year growth of 96.3%.
Xiaopeng Intelligent Automobile Parts Industrial Park
On May 30, Zhaoqing City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Xiaopeng Intelligent Vehicle Parts Industrial Park.
On the same day, the Zhaoqing High-tech Zone Management Committee and XPeng Motors signed a cooperation framework agreement on the joint construction of intelligent automobile supporting parts industrial park. The two sides established a joint investment promotion working mechanism and a government-enterprise interactive exchange mechanism to jointly promote the settlement of XPeng Motors’ upstream and downstream projects.
