Tencent Musicians’ Creative Camp of Pop New Forces, New Forces Project and Pop Track ended successfully.
On December 14th, 2023 Hangzhou International Music Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Music Expo") was grandly opened under the guidance of the Music Industry Promotion Working Committee of China Music Association and sponsored by Xiaoshan District People’s Government of Hangzhou and Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. In the "brand time" section of the Music Expo, the new power creation camp of Tencent Musicians’ Open Platform 2023 New Power Project Pop Track ended successfully. Li Xu, general manager of Tencent Music Entertainment Group’s open platform for musicians, Wang Tao, deputy director of the pop music department of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and Billy Koh, a gold medal producer of Chinese pop music, attended, and many representatives of Tencent musicians who participated in the creative camp also brought wonderful performances.
At the beginning of 2023, Tencent Musicians’ Open Platform was fully upgraded for the "New Forces Plan", with the aim of encouraging quality creation as the starting point and giving potential musicians the most practical help. Through the launch of three tracks, namely "rap new sound", "band new sound" and "pop new sound", as well as various support measures such as income, flow, promotion, business cooperation and performance opportunities, more and more high-quality potential musicians will be helped to achieve a leap in their career development. Li Xu, general manager of Tencent Music Entertainment Group’s open platform for musicians, said: "This year, we have gathered many outstanding musicians through the open platform, and we also thank all musicians and colleagues behind the scenes for their contribution to the birth of good music and the growth of high-quality musicians. In addition, Wang Tao, deputy director of the pop music department of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, also highly recognized the cooperation between Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and Tencent musicians’ open platform: "Tencent musicians have provided many stages and resources for the new generation of high-quality music in recent years. In the future, the two sides will create more cooperation spaces, serve the training of outstanding music talents in China and promote the high-quality development of music higher education."
Since September, the popular Xinsheng track has cooperated with Qida Music in depth, and set up creative camps in Xiamen, Beijing, Nanjing, Chengdu and Hangzhou, and invited Billy Koh and other big coffee instructors to give face-to-face guidance on lyrics and songs. Through the integrated measures of "creative camp+resource support+stage opportunity", the new generation of musicians can realize all-round growth from creation, performance to exposure. At the closing ceremony, Mr. Billy Koh also made a surprise appearance and delivered a speech: "I have more than 30 years of experience in music teaching, and I am very happy to accept the invitation of the creative camp to escort more new generation of creators. It is my honor and my mission to lead them to grow in all directions from creation to performance. "
At the same time, representatives of Tencent musicians who participated in the creative camp also came to the scene to present wonderful performances for the audience. The electronic city folk song composition group BZ1 sang "Call You to Change"; Liu Xinyu, the creator of the single "I am the first" by Xu Mengtao, the champion of the Winter Olympics, also brought three works including "I will hide you in my dream". Their performances pushed the atmosphere to a climax and showed the results of their study and efforts to the scene with their strength.
