"sauna day" is coming! The highest temperature in cities such as Chengdu may hit a new high this year.

On May 25th, affected by the northward uplift of subtropical high, the temperature in most parts of the south gradually rose. From the 26th, the south will usher in the first large-scale hot and muggy weather this year. Before the end of this month, the warmth and heat in many places will continue to escalate, and the somatosensory temperature in some areas may even exceed 40 C, just like summer. China Weather Network has specially launched a high-temperature attendance table for big cities to see where there will be high-temperature weather above 35℃ and where the temperature will hit a new high this year.
Wuhan, Changsha, Nanchang and Fuzhou, or the first high temperature this year is obviously earlier than normal.
In the early stage, due to the influence of cold air and rainfall, the temperature in many places in the south declined. However, since yesterday, with the subtropical high moving northward, most of the rainfall in the south has stopped one after another, and the heating mode has been started. The local temperature has risen by about 10 C, and the highest temperatures in South China and southern Jiangnan have risen above 30 C.
"In the next few days, due to the unusually strong subtropical high and its position in the north, the temperature in most parts of the south will turn to a significantly higher state than normal." Min Yuqiu, a meteorologist at China Weather Network, said that starting today, the south will usher in the first large-scale hot and muggy weather this year, with the 28th to 29th as the peak of this round of warming. It is estimated that from 26th to 31st, the area with a temperature of 30℃+ can reach the Huaihe River Basin as far as the north, and the highest temperature in eastern Jianghan, central and western Jiangnan and southern China may reach 35~37℃, and the highest temperature in some areas is expected to hit a new high this year.
As can be seen from the table, in the next five days, there will be high temperatures in Changsha, Wuhan, Nanchang, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Nanning and Haikou, among which Guangzhou will be on duty full-time. Although the highest temperature in Chengdu is 34℃, the relative humidity of the air is relatively high, and the sense of body will be very sultry.
This round of warming process lasts for a long time, and the temperature in many places in the south will be "grouped" to a new high.In big cities, the highest temperatures in Changsha, Wuhan, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Nanning and Chengdu may all hit new highs this year, which is full of heat.
Under the strong "control" of subtropical high, this wave of high temperature in the south came earlier than in previous years. The first high temperature will appear in Jianghuai, Jiangnan and other places in the middle and late June all the year round, and this year, the first high temperature day in Wuhan, Changsha, Nanchang and Fuzhou will appear significantly earlier, especially in Nanchang or nearly a month earlier than normal (June 26th).
It’s sultry in many places in the south, such as the solar terms. Please keep this "sauna day" protection guide.
Although the highest temperature in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Sichuan and many other places does not reach the high temperature line of 35℃, the relative humidity of air increases, and the somatosensory temperature may also exceed 40℃. Min Yuqiu said that humidity is one of the important meteorological factors affecting the somatosensory temperature. When the temperature is higher and the humidity is higher, the somatosensory temperature will be higher. For example, when the actual temperature is 33℃ and the air relative humidity reaches 60%, the somatosensory temperature can reach above 40℃.
Some areas in the south of the Yangtze River and South China are not only hot during the day, but also the minimum temperature will rise above 25℃ in the next three days. Coupled with the high humidity, the somatosensory temperature will also exceed 30℃ at night, and it will be in the feeling of "steaming sauna" almost all day, and feel the sultry weather like a solar term all the year round in advance.
In the process of this round of warming, the body temperature in many places in the south is high and sultry. China Weather Network reminds us that you can appropriately increase your lunch break, eat lightly, replenish water in time, try to avoid long-term outdoor activities during the high temperature period from 10 am to 4 pm, and pay attention to heatstroke prevention and cooling.
